We are teachers who graduated from al Azhar university, the Islamic University of Medina, and the Islamic University of Minnesota. We are parents. We are experts in technology. We have seen with our own eyes the desperate need to bring a new method of teaching the Quran and our Deen.
We have gone into Islamic studies programs and schools across the USA, speaking with students of all different backgrounds, some of which had been able to recite the entire Quran from memory, yet when we asked them to tell us the meaning of

- or إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ “Iyakka na’budu wa iyakka nasta’in"
- or سمع الله لمن حمده “Sami Allahu liman hamidah”
- or even just “Ashadu an la ilah illallah,” أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ
These children answered either incorrectly or stated that they simply did not know.

Old methods is not working
The methods of teaching our children about the Quran and Islam have been incredibly ineffective for all but a few kids here and there. We have heard so many complaints saying that despite all the time kids are putting into learning the Quran and what it means to be a Muslim, despite the extensive effort put in by both teachers and parents, even after years have gone by our children still don’t understand even the basic meaning of our Quran.
